Mr Luke Martino

Non Executive Chairman

Luke Martino is a prominent figure in the corporate world of Western Australia, with over 40 years’ experience at partner and board level with major accounting firms and is a Director of several public & private companies. He has gained significant experience and established credibility in the mining & resources, property and hospitality industries. Luke has an entrepreneurial passion for nurturing businesses and specializes in corporate & growth consulting.

A chartered accountant, Luke was the lead partner of Deloitte growth solutions. His success as a lead partner of Deloitte also saw him appointed to national executive roles and a Board member for the national Australian firm.

Luke is Executive Director of Indian Ocean Consulting Group, a boutique corporate & investment banking services firm in Perth & Sydney, Australia, with joint interests in Mainland China. He is also current chairman of EV Resources Limited and non executive director of Balkan Mining & Minerals Limited, two companies focused on precious and green metal exploration and renewable green energy.

Athan Lekkas

Non Executive Director

Mr Lekkas has many years of investment banking experience and has advised on numerous cross border transactions including capital raisings, funding and structuring of acquisitions, joint ventures overseas and participated in a broad range of business and corporate advisory transactions. More recently Athan has focused on the restructure and recapitalisation of a wide range of ASX Listed companies. He was former Chairman of Panax Geothermal Limited (ASX:PAX) a Geothermal company that was successfully transformed into an Internet of Things (IoT) technology company where he was responsible for raising $25M. Mr Lekkas was also previously a Director of Brainy Toys Limited which was transformed from a technology company into a mining company which is now listed as a Kogi Iron (ASX: KFE), where he was instrumental and successful with identifying and funding the acquisition of a major West African Iron Ore project.

Mr Neil Goodman

Managing Director and CEO

Mr. Goodman has long standing experience in the iron and steel making industry, with a proven track record of planning and building large-scale iron making plants around the globe. Mr. Goodman worked for 20 years with Rio Tinto and Molong China developing the HIsmelt process for smelting iron ore to create 100% Green Pig Iron. Magnum recently acquired 100% of Appalachian Iron in West Virginia, which was owned by Mr Goodman, and which holds an agreement with Molong to license to the HIsmelt technology. Mr. Goodman also owns Smelt Tech Consulting, a private advisory firm providing advice on smelting to the steel industry worldwide and is a Director on the Board of the Australian Government funded Heavy Industry Low-carbon Transition Cooperative Research Centre (HILT CRC). The HILT CRC funds research into new technologies to de-carbonise heavy industries including the steel industry.

“Following the sale of the HIsmelt technology, I have left Rio Tinto and started a consultancy with former team members to support the new owners Molong, the HIsmelt Accredited Engineers, and future clients. Smelt Tech provides process, engineering, analytical and operational support for HIsmelt and other primary metals extraction industries”

Mr John O'Gorman

John O’Gorman has over 35 years’ experience in both commercial and advisory roles in Australia and the UK. His expertise includes strategic planning, financial modelling, workshop facilitation, technology implementation and project management. A management consultant, John was previously a Director of Deloitte Growth Solutions prior to becoming a founding Director of Indian Ocean Consulting Group, a boutique corporate & investment banking services firm in Perth & Sydney, Australia, with joint interests in Mainland China.
